PE Teacher role in: Birmingham

  • Temporary Contract: Long term cover
  • Full Time Vacancy: (8:30am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday)

PE Teacher Specification

We are currently seeking a qualified and enthusiastic PE Teacher for a full-time role at a secondary school in the Birmingham area. This position is to start September 2026 and is a temporary contract.

To be considered, you must have prior experience delivering Physical Education lessons to secondary‑aged students (KS3 and KS4), with a proven ability to inspire young learners and promote physical wellbeing and healthy lifestyles.

  • You must hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent (desirable)
  • Experience teaching PE at secondary level (KS3/KS4 essential, KS5 desirable)
  • A passion for promoting sports, physical fitness, and teamwork
  • Strong classroom management and lesson delivery skills
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging practical and theory PE lessons
  • Knowledge of GCSE PE curriculum is advantageous
  • Safeguarding Level 1 trained (we can assist with this)
  • A valid enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)

We are looking for a teacher who is proactive, energetic, and able to build positive relationships with students. You should have a genuine interest in physical education and a strong commitment to supporting all learners, including those with different abilities and backgrounds.
