The Role
As a Cable Assembler, you’ll play a key role in producing high‑quality electronic assemblies to customer specifications, ensuring excellent workmanship & attention to detail throughout the manufacturing process.
Responsibilities
- Assemble PCB & cable assemblies to engineering drawings & work instructions
- Carry out visual inspections of completed assemblies
- Identify assembly defects including soldering faults & wiring discrepancies
- Use microscopes, hand tools & measuring equipment
- Read engineering drawings, schematics & bills of materials
- Record production & quality documentation accurately
- Work closely with Production, Engineering & Quality teams
- Maintain high housekeeping & health & safety standards
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience assembling PCBs or cable assemblies
- Experience within an electronics manufacturing environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings & wiring diagrams
- Excellent attention to detail
- Good manual dexterity & soldering experience
- Experience using inspection equipment such as microscopes (desirable)
- IPC certification or similar (advantageous)
- A positive attitude & strong team‑working skills
