Location: Peterborough & Cambridgeshire | Salary: £34,869 – £47,945 per annum | Hours: 36 hours per week | Contract: Permanent
We have an exciting opportunity for a Maintenance Surveyor to join our team covering Peterborough, Cambridge and surrounding areas. Reporting to the Neighbourhood Repairs Manager, you’ll be responsible for pre/post-inspections and reports for responsive repairs, void works and cyclical repairs, consulting and engaging with customers and leaseholders, and with internal and external stakeholders. You’ll plan and coordinate repair, maintenance, and construction work to deliver according to cost, time, and quality standards. You’ll undertake building and technical surveys to determine the building condition and identify defects and associated risks. You’ll carry out major void inspections and ensure that work is completed in line with KPIs and make recommendations based on survey findings.
Responsibilities
- Conduct pre- and post-inspections and produce reports for responsive repairs, void works and cyclical repairs.
- Consult and engage with customers and leaseholders, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor repair, maintenance, and construction work to meet cost, time, and quality targets.
- Undertake building and technical surveys to determine condition, identify defects and associated risks.
- Carry out major void inspections and ensure work complies with KPIs; provide recommendations based on survey findings.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Diploma in Surveying, Property and Maintenance Level 3.
- Current membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., RICS or CIOB).
- Ability to travel across the region as required.
- Eligibility to work in the UK; visa sponsorship is not available.
- Post may require Basic Criminal Record Check Clearance.
