Overview

EAL Support Mentor – Enfield – £105-£140 per day – Long Term – Mainstream Secondary School – September Start

Role

As the EAL Support Mentor, you will:

• Support students across KS3 and KS4 whose first language is not English to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills so they can access the curriculum.
• Deliver targeted interventions and provide in-class and small-group support.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt learning where appropriate and monitor language development.
• Encourage confidence and independent learning inside and outside the classroom.

Qualifications and experience

• Qualified TESOL, TEFL or CELTA (or equivalent).
• Experience supporting EAL learners in a secondary school or educational setting.
• Strong communication skills; culturally aware, patient and passionate about helping students reach their potential.
