EAL Support Mentor – Enfield – £105-£140 per day – Long Term – Mainstream Secondary School – September Start
Role
As the EAL Support Mentor, you will:
- Support students across KS3 and KS4 whose first language is not English to develop speaking, listening, reading and writing skills so they can access the curriculum.
- Deliver targeted interventions and provide in-class and small-group support.
- Collaborate with teaching staff to adapt learning where appropriate and monitor language development.
- Encourage confidence and independent learning inside and outside the classroom.
Qualifications and experience
- Qualified TESOL, TEFL or CELTA (or equivalent).
- Experience supporting EAL learners in a secondary school or educational setting.
- Strong communication skills; culturally aware, patient and passionate about helping students reach their potential.
