We’re looking for a hard‑working, motivated and creative engineer to join a specialist, multi-disciplinary, multi‑cultural team in Bristol, developing innovative and powerful IPs used across multiple lines of businesses ranging from Physical AI, Automotive and Edge to Infrastructure computing. Responsibilities
- Analyze specifications to understand implementation challenges and collaborate with architects to refine ideas.
- Plan, track, and coordinate tasks for yourself and your team.
- Collaborate with verification, back‑end implementation, performance, power analysis, and subsystem teams to ensure the design meets all functional, area, power, performance and CSS‑level integration requirements.
- Improve design methodology to adapt to evolving needs.
Required Skills and Experience
- Consistent track record of sophisticated micro‑architecture and RTL design using SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Ability to navigate high‑level design trade‑offs and articulate the rationale behind those decisions.
- Knowledge of ASIC or FPGA design methodology and IP sign‑off methods with a deep understanding of timing/area/complexity trade‑offs for complex data‑path designs.
- Experience with static design checks, synthesis, timing analysis, and power management techniques.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Have Skills and Experience
- Knowledge of memory system interconnect protocols (e.g., AMBA ACE‑Lite or AXI).
- Familiarity with PCI Express (PCIe), I/O virtualization, and address translation.
- Proficiency in SystemVerilog Assertions (SVA) and formal verification techniques.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Perl, Tcl, C shell, or Python.
- Understanding of hardware verification languages (e.g., SystemVerilog).
- Knowledge of Functional Safety methodologies.

Salary Range
£73,500 – £99,500 per year
