Procurement Manager – (Defence/Engineering)
Remote (With weekly travel to client sites)
£40,000 – £70,000
A number of Procurement Managers are wanted on a permanent basis by a global consultancy client of ours who is at the forefront of their industry and going through a real period of growth.
This is a permanent opportunity that includes a base salary of between £40,000 – £70,000 dependent upon experience as well as benefits.
Overview of the Procurement Manager role:
- Apply your knowledge of procurement principles and practices with experience of contract management and/or sourcing.
- Look to identify the most suitable commercial approach to a given circumstance, including assessing the potential trade-offs and the level of risk mitigation required to achieve the best outcome.
- Understand and apply programme, portfolio and project management tools.
- Taking ownership of decisions at tender evaluation stage and applying commercial expertise and judgement accordingly
Key skills required for the Procurement Manager role:
- Previous experience working in the Defence or Engineering sector, within a Procurement or Commercial capacity.
- Willingness to travel to client sites up to three days a week.
- Relevant qualification(s) or equivalent suitable experience.
