About the Role
The team is accountable for delivering against category strategy and acts as the business partner to key stakeholders and suppliers. It is responsible for setting the agenda for strategic sourcing and driving innovation to manage spend and realise value for BT. The Manager leads the procurement plan and activities for Business CFU supporting B2B Corporate and Public Sector Customer accounts, developing and implementing procurement frameworks, policies and procedures, while maintaining strong relationships with key suppliers and internal stakeholders.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Managing specific Corporate and UK public sector accounts, including large banks and manufacturing corporations, and implementing procurement frameworks and procedures.
- Act as the procurement workstream lead when BT bids for key UK customer contracts, responsible for managing suppliers, contract drafting, and project management supporting submission, award, and mobilisation.
- Working with BT business stakeholders to identify and deliver savings opportunities, efficiencies, compliance, and improved ways of working.
- Building and maintaining category expertise, applying best practices around sourcing approach, supplier selection, total cost of ownership and negotiation tactics.
- Identifying business improvements leveraging commercial, design and process to minimise total cost of ownership.
- Managing relationships with key internal stakeholders and suppliers and negotiating commercial and contractual arrangements using the latest contracting tools.
Essential Skills / Experience
- Results‑oriented, ambitious, and passionate.
- Experience in contract drafting and negotiation of contract terms, including understanding of flow‑down terms.
- Comfortable with the latest digital sourcing tools and a promoter of procurement technologies and processes.
- Ability to manage complex, strategic and commercial requirements between BT and suppliers, delivering projects and results on time and in full.
- Experience in business partnering and supplier relationship management.
- Strong continuous improvement skills that exceed customer expectations.
Desirable Skills / Experience
- Residence in the UK, UK National status, and evidence of last 5 years of UK residence for security clearance requirements.
