Maintenance Manager
Location: Motherwell
Are you an experienced engineering leader with a passion for reliability, continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams?
We’re looking for a Maintenance Manager to lead our maintenance function, ensuring equipment reliability, maximising uptime, and supporting production performance across a busy manufacturing site.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead and develop a team of Shift Maintenance Engineers and apprentices.
- Manage planned and reactive maintenance to maximise equipment availability.
- Drive improvements in reliability through preventative maintenance, Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor maintenance KPIs, ensuring preventative maintenance compliance exceeds 97%.
- Lead daily engineering meetings, prioritise workloads, and work closely with Production to resolve engineering issues.
- Maintain high engineering standards, including workshop 5S, contractor management, and health & safety compliance.
- Deliver engineering improvement and small CAPEX projects (up to £350k) that improve reliability and operational performance.
What we’re looking for
- HNC/HND in Engineering Maintenance (or equivalent).
- Completed engineering apprenticeship.
- 7+ years’ experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment.
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance, equipment reliability, and continuous improvement.
Desirable: Lean Yellow/Green Belt, PRINCE2/PMP, 18th Edition, IOSH/NEBOSH, injection moulding experience, or ILM qualifications.
