39 hours, Monday to Thursday, 8:00 am – 4:30 pm and Friday 8:00 am – 4:00 pm with 30 mins unpaid lunch
The impact you will have
This role offers full training and support to service medical equipment on site, including beds, mattresses, couches, baths, trolleys and hoists.
You will be part of an expanding global medical‑device company, gaining experience and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities
- Follow service itinerary and procedures, optimising time and minimising costs.
- Ensure all tasks comply with statutory legislation, local policies and health‑safety codes (Health and Safety, COSHH, PUWER, LOLER).
- Diagnose faults, perform rectification and maintenance on electrical/mechanical equipment.
- Work toward Key Point Indicators and Service Level Agreements.
- Submit accurate documentation via handheld device within agreed timescales.
- Communicate visit details and notice of service to customers.
- Request required materials and maintain clean work areas.
- Provide feedback to improve products and services.
- Maintain tools, spares and equipment safely, reporting unsafe conditions.
- Support other Service Engineers when needed.
- Follow infection prevention and control policies to protect patients and staff.
- Adhere to induction, training and policy compliance.
Qualifications
- City and Guilds/NTEC/ONC or similar mechanical/electrical engineering qualification (desirable).
- Experience in mechanical/electrical engineering (essential).
- Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001 (desirable).
- Excellent communication and customer‑service skills.
- Valid UK driving licence; ability to drive a company van.

- Previous similar role experience.
- Motivation and passion for work.
- Strong problem‑solving and resourcefulness.
- Understanding of electrical or mechanical engineering.
- Ability to meet deadlines and manage time.
- Knowledge of health‑safety principles.
- Basic IT skills; able to use iPad and iPhone.
