We’re supporting a growing, fast-paced business looking to appoint a Category Manager to lead all procurement activity across the business unit.
This is a high-impact role with real ownership – managing £45m+ spend, shaping supplier strategy, and partnering closely with senior stakeholders to drive value, performance, and compliance.
The role
You’ll take full responsibility for procurement across a broad range of indirect categories, including temporary labour, packaging, and FM (you dont need experience in these just some exposure to indirect procurement) , while supporting wider business growth and commercial strategy.
Key areas include:
- Owning and delivering procurement strategy across Indirect spend
- Managing £45m+ spend with a focus on value, cost optimisation, and risk
- Identifying and delivering cost-saving and value-add opportunities
- Leading supplier relationships and driving performance
- Supporting new business opportunities and aligning procurement to client contracts
- Ensuring compliance, governance, and audit-ready processes
- Working closely with Legal and internal stakeholders on contracts and negotiations
- Providing clear, insightful reporting to support business decisions
