The Role

As a Solution Architect you will design and support the implementation of effective and efficient solutions that meet our customers’ business needs and align with our technology strategies. You guide, mentor, and support Technical Leads across the CIO department, providing guardrails to enable autonomous solution design and delivery. You translate functional and non‑functional requirements into solution architectures, ensuring alignment with PRS’s business and technology strategies, architectural principles and standards. You collaborate closely with stakeholders—including enterprise architects, business analysts, product owners, project managers, developers, engineers, and system administrators—to deliver successful outcomes. The role is part of the Enterprise Architecture (EA) Team.

The Team

The EA team delivers technology strategies, roadmaps, landscapes, solution architectures, and technical designs for all key systems. Its mission is to empower PRS for Music with a forward‑thinking, business‑aligned enterprise architecture that drives innovation, ensures strategic coherence, and delivers scalable, sustainable value through technology. The team works across many technologies including Oracle, Microsoft, Salesforce and MuleSoft, both cloud‑based and on‑premise, and collaborates with third parties to complement core team skills.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure that solutions are strategically aligned, efficient, fit for purpose and fit for use.

  • Create solution architectures detailed enough to demonstrate how requirements are met and to guide engineering.
  • Support Technical Leads in creating technical specifications, including physical system architecture, interface design, data flows, and integration points.
  • Create, manage, and evangelise architectural artifacts such as mission statements, standards, principles, templates, and patterns.

About You

  • Strong influencing, collaboration, and presentation skills, and the ability to work effectively in cross‑functional teams at all organizational levels.
  • Experience successfully architecting and supporting the delivery of complex IT solutions, including high‑volume transactional data processing systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills, balancing technical and business considerations.
  • Experience with architectural ways of working (e.g., abstraction, architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, partitioning, patterns, principles, architectural tools, stakeholder mapping, etc.) and strategic alignment.
  • Experience implementing and operating within effective architecture governance frameworks, with a strong understanding of technologies including but not limited to Oracle, Microsoft, cloud computing, databases, APIs, and web services.

Benefits

  • Trust, value, and support from people to make a difference.
  • Diversity of thought and experience to drive innovation and creativity.
  • Inclusive culture with eight affinity groups for participation and impact.
  • Invested development opportunities for career growth.
  • Range of family‑friendly leave including enhanced maternity, paternity, grandparent, fertility, reproductive, and menopause support.
  • 25 days holiday entitlement with the option to top up twice annually up to a maximum of 30 days.
  • Work from anywhere in the world for up to eight weeks per year.
  • Other benefits such as retail discounts, gym discounts, season ticket or bicycle loan.

Interview Process

  • First stage interview conducted virtually on MS Teams.
  • Second stage interview conducted in person at our London Bridge Hub.
