Responsibilities
Plan and deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests, abilities and care needs. Deliver engaging, meaningful, person-centred activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction. Build strong relationships to understand preferences and enable inclusive participation for all individuals, including those living with dementia. Work as part of the wider team to contribute to a positive and stimulating environment where individuals feel valued, active and connected. The role may involve weekend work on an alternating basis.
Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
- A genuine interest in supporting older people.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial; transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply.
