Leading Driver – Night Shifts (Oxford Depot)

Position Details

Salary: £20.35 per hour. Location: Oxford. Hourly Rate: £20.35. Shift Rotation: Night Shifts.

Responsibilities

• Work effectively within the Operations team to support daily bus services.
• Foster cooperation between Traffic, Engineering and other depots.
• Open and secure the depot at the start and end of duties.
• Oversee vehicle allocation and daily run‑out services.
• Ensure cost‑effective duty coverage using systems such as Grampian and EP Morris.
• Monitor service performance and address early/late running.
• Undertake drug and alcohol tests as required.
• Respond to operational issues and assist with customer complaints.
• Undertake driving duties and assist with administration as needed.
• Maintain confidentiality at all times.
• Be flexible to meet operational requirements.

Qualifications

• Must have PCV (Category D) licence.
• Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
• High attention to detail and operational awareness.
• Strong leadership skills.
• Ability to use Office365 applications including Outlook, Word and OneDrive.
