About the role

Our client has an opportunity for an Aircraft Electrical Fitter to join them on a contract basis until the end of the year. The Aircraft Electrical Fitter is responsible for assisting in the movement, line and base maintenance of the UK MFTS (RW) H135/H145 fleet.

Role: Aircraft Electrical FitterLocation: RAF Valley – Wales – Fully onsiteHours: 40 per week – shifts TBCHourly Rate: £28.16 per hour via Umbrella, inside IR35Clearance: BPSS required before starting, full SC to follow

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering operational support to Flight Operations.
• Accomplishment of maintenance inspections and repairs as directed by nominated Shift Supervisor or Certifying Engineer.
• Work to high standards to ensure continued safe operation of the aircraft.
• Completion of maintenance, including avionic and electrical systems as per written instructions laid down by OEM.
• Conduct off-aircraft technical work in workshops as required.
• Assist in day-to-day running of the aircraft Hangar, including aircraft movement and general housekeeping responsibilities.

Requirements

• Apprenticeship in Aircraft Maintenance or related discipline.
• Thorough knowledge of electrical and avionic systems.
• Knowledge of specialised test equipment relating to electrical and avionic systems.
• Up to date knowledge of Flight/Airport Operations, Aircraft Line Maintenance and Aircraft Base Maintenance.
