Key Responsibilities
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety and security of the school premises
- Carry out routine maintenance and basic repairs as needed
- Open and close the school, managing building access and security systems
- Monitor and report health and safety concerns promptly
- Support contractors and manage deliveries and site visitors
- Ensure playgrounds, grounds and outdoor areas are safe and tidy
- Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues or emergencies
What We’re Looking For
- Previous experience in caretaking or maintenance, preferably in a school or similar environment
- Practical skills and ability to carry out basic repairs and upkeep
- Reliable, punctual and able to work independently
- Good communication skills and a friendly, approachable manner
- Flexibility to cover out-of-hours duties as required
- A commitment to supporting a safe and positive school environment
