Overview
Homewood is a residential service for adults with learning disabilities and additional needs, and we’re looking for an energetic Shift Leader to be at the heart of delivering exemplary care.
Responsibilities
- Deliver exceptional physical and emotional care, proactively observe and assess Service Users’ health and wellbeing.
- Collaborate with families, carers, colleagues and professionals to create and deliver personalised care plans that align with each Service User’s goals and wishes.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of progress and needs, ensuring consistent, high‑quality care and clear communication with the whole team.
- Work a 4‑week flexible shift pattern for a 24/7 service, covering early, late, sleep‑in shifts and bank holidays, with weekend rotations and enhancement pay in line with the HCC salary policy.
Qualifications
- Experience working with adults with learning disabilities and additional needs, demonstrating independent decision‑making.
- Strong core values of patience, empathy and compassion, and a team‑player attitude.
- Excellent communication skills for building positive relationships with a diverse range of people.
- Sound IT skills and accurate record‑keeping.
