Structural Engineer

Sapien are looking for a Structural Analyst for our client based in Dorking. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with around 2–3 years’ industry experience to work on a confidential, high-profile engineering programme.

This role will be based in Dorking full time however you will be required to go to their client site on the South Coast for 6 months.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out structural analysis using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) techniques.
• Perform simulations and assessments using Siemens Simcenter.
• Support the delivery of engineering solutions on a confidential customer programme.
• Produce clear technical reports and analysis documentation.
• Work collaboratively with engineering teams to deliver projects to quality and programme requirements.
• Ensure engineering work complies with customer and industry standards.

Skills & Experience

• Around 2–3 years’ experience in a structural analysis or stress engineering role.
• Knowledge of Siemens Simcenter.
• Strong understanding and practical experience of Finite Element Analysis (FEA).
• Degree qualified in Mechanical, Structural, Aerospace or a related Engineering discipline.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication and report‑writing abilities.
• Current Security Clearance (SC) or the ability to obtain clearance.

Working Arrangements

• The successful candidate will complete an initial onboarding period of approximately one month at the office in Dorking.
• Following onboarding, the role will be based at a client’s site on the South Coast for the short to medium term.
• Longer term, the role will transition back to the Dorking base.
• Accommodation will be provided by while working at the client site.
• A daily subsistence allowance of £35 will be paid whilst working away from home.
