We’re looking for an interim commercial lawyer to join a well-known FTSE-listed retail business on an initial contract basis, busy, collaborative in-house legal team.
Interim Commercial Lawyer
Type: Interim 6-month contract | Days: 5 days per week (hybrid); 3 days/week in the office
You’ll work alongside the Group Legal Director for Corporate, providing solid, hands-on support across a broad commercial workload. This is a busy BAU role — perfect for someone who enjoys getting through volume and doing it well.
What you’ll be doing:
- Reviewing, drafting and negotiating a range of commercial contracts
- Supporting the wider legal team on day-to-day corporate and commercial matters
- Working efficiently with minimal hand-holding in a fast-moving retail environment
What we’re looking for:
- 3–6 years’ PQE, ideally from a commercial background, retail/FMCG commercial experience a plus
- Comfortable with contract-heavy, BAU workloads
- Pragmatic, organised, and able to hit the ground running
