Principal Software Engineer C# .Net AWS – FinTech (London)

Salary: GBP100,000 – GBP120,000 per annum + bonus + benefits

As a Principal Software Engineer you will architect and build highly performant and scalable solutions using the Microsoft tech stack and SOLID design principles, collaborating with cross‑functional Agile project teams in 2‑week sprints. You’ll be an advocate of best practice and ensure software is delivered to schedule.

You will help drive the adoption of AI within the business, introducing chatbots and exploring the use of AI for process improvements. This role reports directly to the CTO and provides high visibility and rapid impact.

Location / WFH

Hybrid policy: two days in the London office and flexibility to work from home two days a week (Thursday and Friday).

About you

• Extensive experience as a Software Developer / Engineer with strong modern best practice
• Strong C# backend development skills, preferably with Python coding skills
• Good knowledge of AWS
• Experience developing highly scalable systems
• Solid foundations in computer science fundamentals such as OOP, data structures, and design patterns
• Interest in Artificial Intelligence and willingness to explore opportunities such as ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Copilot
• Excellent analysis, problem‑solving, organisation and planning abilities
• Business acumen with advanced communication and stakeholder‑management skills
