Customer Services Assistant – Insomnia Barista

Overview

We’re recruiting for new colleagues to join our Insomnia Café. This is an exciting and varied role where no two days are ever the same. A fast paced and fun environment, you’ll get to work with an amazing mix of customers and colleagues to brighten your day whilst you master your coffee making and barista skills. You’ll be part of a welcoming team, delivering the best service and store experience to our customers – proactively engaging with the local community. You’ll build expert knowledge of our food and drink range as well as keeping the shop well stocked, beautifully clean and organised.

Responsibilities

• Deliver the best service and store experience to customers.
• Master coffee making and barista skills and operate the front‑of‑house equipment.
• Build expert knowledge of the food and drink range.
• Keep the shop well stocked, clean and organised, including the shop floor and customer and team toilets.
• Look after the health and safety of customers, colleagues and yourself.
• Support the team on flexible shift patterns across a seven‑day opening.

Qualifications

• Positive and enthusiastic attitude.
• Experience working as a barista is desirable but not essential; full training will be provided.
• Comfortable working in an environment with high standards maintained by frequent audits and due diligence requirements.
