Process Engineer

Job Title: Process Engineer

Location: York, UK

Salary: £40,000 – £45,000

Overview:

• Proactive and analytical Process Engineer focused on improving efficiency, quality, and consistency across manufacturing operations. Work closely with production and engineering teams to optimise processes and reduce waste.

Responsibilities:

• Analyse, develop, and optimise manufacturing processes to improve performance and efficiency
• Identify process inefficiencies and implement solutions to reduce waste and increase productivity
• Monitor process performance using data and KPIs, driving continuous improvement initiatives
• Support new product introduction (NPI) and ensure processes are robust and scalable
• Troubleshoot process issues and provide technical support to production teams
• Ensure processes comply with health, safety, and regulatory standards

Requirements:

• Degree in Chemical, Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Process Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Experience in a Process Engineer or similar role
• Strong understanding of process improvement methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma)
• Ability to analyse data and solve complex technical problems
• Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Experience within a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
