Analytical Engineer
We are looking for analytical engineers to deliver the MBDA Hardware In The Loop mission statement: “To provide operational confidence through world‑class, closed loop missile performance testing.”
Salary: up to £46,000 depending on experience.
Location: Stevenage. Working arrangement: predominantly on‑site (hybrid). Security clearance: British citizen or dual UK national with British citizenship. All successful candidates will need to undergo a HMG Security Check (SC) after offer.

Opportunity: You will join the Hardware In The Loop (HWIL) team, conducting dynamic missile firing simulations that utilise real missile hardware to support product development, performance validation and firing trial preparation. The HWIL testing involves real missile hardware, performance models, flight motion tables, and RF/IR target generation systems, enabling testing in realistic scenarios across many MBDA products.
Responsibilities
- Understand the functionality of missile sub‑systems involved in dynamic HWIL testing
- Understand interactions between missile sub‑systems and bespoke test equipment
- Collaborate with subject‑matter experts across MBDA missile product teams
- Develop real‑time software simulations utilising performance models
- Conduct hands‑on testing with real missile hardware and software
- Analyse missile telemetry data to understand performance and produce technical reports
Qualifications
- Experience in system integration and interface debugging
- Structured approach to problem solving
- Real‑time software or simulation design
- Testing of sensors or sub‑systems
- Experience with Radio Frequency or InfraRed seekers
- System performance analysis
We require diverse engineering experience; knowledge in some of the above areas is sufficient.
