As a Project Engineer, you’ll take ownership of technical delivery—planning, coordinating, and managing engineering activities to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project specifications across mechanical, electrical, and ICA disciplines
- Ensure all deliverables meet technical standards and client expectations
- Manage project performance, including quality, cost, schedule, and team output
- Identify and implement efficient, cost-effective engineering solutions
- Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless delivery
- Support and collaborate closely with Project Managers and stakeholders
- Review engineering outputs and implement corrective actions where required
- Lead, mentor, and motivate project team members
- Plan and delegate workloads to meet key milestones
- Participate in meetings with clients, suppliers, and internal teams
- Support preparation of project documentation (e.g. CDM, RAMS, H&S plans)
- Oversee procurement of materials, plant, and specialist subcontractors
- Contribute to estimates and quotations
Skills, Experiences & Qualifications
- ONC / HNC / BEng (or equivalent) in an engineering discipline
- Experience within the water and/or wastewater sector
- Strong commercial and contractual awareness
- Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills
- Proactive, self-motivated approach
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
