Clinical Lead – Onyx Ward
Clinical Lead (22.5 hours per week) leading clinical practice on a purpose-built low secure ward for up to seven men diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). The ward features patient‑led lounges, garden areas, and adjustable temperature and light to aid recovery.
The role supports clinical leadership on the ward, focusing on safety and quality of patient care. Key responsibilities include timely management of incidents, supporting the multidisciplinary team (MDT), and ensuring patients co‑produce their care plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead clinical responsibility for all aspects of the nursing care planning process, from pre‑admission to discharge.
- Develop specialist programmes of care for patients with ASD.
- Provide clinical supervision and develop clinical competencies of nursing staff within the secure services.
- Cover for the Clinic Ward Manager as required.
- Work closely with the ward manager and the broader MDT, alongside other ward clinical leads.
Qualifications & Experience
Post registration experience and a demonstrated interest in working with individuals diagnosed with ASD.
