Role Description
The HVAC Engineer role at Aspect is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Chessington. The HVAC Engineer will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems in commercial and industrial properties. Daily tasks include conducting diagnostics and fault finding, performing routine servicing, completing safety and performance checks, and ensuring systems operate efficiently and in line with regulations. The role involves responding to scheduled and reactive jobs, documenting work carried out, liaising with the account management team, and communicating clearly with customers on‑site. The HVAC Engineer will also contribute to continuous improvement by reporting recurring issues, recommending upgrades, and adhering to Aspect’s health and safety standards and operating procedures.
Qualifications
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and diagnostics.
- Experience with electrical components related to HVAC equipment and the ability to read technical drawings and schematics.
- Understanding of relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations, including safe working practices on‑site.
- Effective problem‑solving skills and attention to detail when identifying and resolving system faults.
- Clear communication skills for interacting with customers and internal teams, with the ability to document work accurately.
- Ability to work independently in the field, manage time efficiently, and adapt to changing priorities and schedules.
- Recognized HVAC or mechanical engineering qualification (e.g., NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent) and valid industry certifications where applicable.
- Full UK driving licence and prior experience in commercial or corporate property environments are highly beneficial.
