The Partnerships Team at Tesco IMS is responsible for key money services products within the Tesco estate as well as new, exciting product launches and brand partnerships.

The Partnerships team includes our Gift Card business (UK market leader for B2B and B2C), our Travel Money business (second largest in the market with cash and prepaid offerings), a substantial ATM estate with ongoing expansion of self‑serve capabilities, and new exciting partnerships and product launches.

We’re looking for a Senior Data Scientist to join our Partnerships team.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with senior commercial managers across the Partnerships team to identify and resolve problem statements for a variety of products.
  • Build and maintain demand models to ensure our customers get the right product at the right time, driving efficiencies across Partnerships.
  • Drive forward AI within partnerships by collaborating with third parties and internal stakeholders to launch new tools and enhance customer journeys.
  • Work closely with colleagues across Insurance & Money Services and third parties, including Travelex and Blackhawk, gaining a broad perspective of multiple markets and deepening commercial market understanding.

Qualifications

  • Strong data science capabilities, with experience in Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft Copilot Studio and PowerBI beneficial.
  • Proficient in Python, SQL, Spark (or PySpark, SparkSQL) and DAX.
  • Excellent communication skills to translate technical models and processes for commercial colleagues.
  • Commercial acumen to identify and drive trade‑driving and efficiency solutions.
  • Strong relationship‑management skills to build meaningful connections with key stakeholders and business partners.
  • Customer‑orientated mindset to consistently keep customers at the heart of our work.
