Overview

This is an exciting opportunity to join the senior leadership of the North Locality Teams as an Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist. The post holder will be working across Peterborough, Huntingdon and Fenland Adult Locality Teams, providing leadership to the Occupational Therapy teams.

Key Responsibilities

As an Advanced Practitioner Occupational Therapist, you will play a pivotal role in delivering coordinated care to a defined caseload. You will provide clinical leadership within the OT team as well as across the wider Multi‑Disciplinary Team meetings, ensuring effective risk management, care planning, and clinical decision‑making.

  • Work alongside the Service Manager to complete investigations, manage complaints and subject access requests.
  • Support clinicians in managing complex cases, guide discharge planning and promote smooth clinical throughput.
  • Foster strong interfaces with other teams.
  • Chair large, multi‑agency meetings, lead audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Deliver clinical supervision, conduct staff appraisals, and foster professional development within the team.
  • Ensure the service is a positive learning environment for students from various disciplines.

Qualifications & Requirements

Travel and Vehicle: You will be required to travel independently around the county, meeting strict time deadlines. You must hold a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle. Public transport is not acceptable for this role.
