Amazon S3 is the storage for internet, and Amazon S3 Tables deliver the first cloud object store with built‑in Apache Iceberg support and streamline storing tabular data at scale. Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with experienced cross‑disciplinary Amazonians to conceive, design, and bring innovative products and services to market.
  • Design and build innovative technologies in a large distributed computing environment and help lead fundamental changes in the industry.
  • Work with other team members to investigate design approaches, prototype new technology and evaluate technical feasibility.
  • Take feature specifications and deliver working code that is maintainable and extendable.
  • Build distributed storage, index, and query systems that are scalable, fault‑tolerant, low‑cost, and easy to manage/use.
  • Design and code the right solutions starting with broadly defined problems.
  • Work in an agile environment to deliver high‑quality software.

Required Experience

  • Professional software development experience (non‑internship).
  • Programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object‑oriented design.
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent.
  • Experience with the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations.
