Apprentice Plumbing and Heating Engineer – Level 3

Location: Magna Sites, Dorset region

Salary: £17,702 per year plus benefits

Hours: 39 hours per week

Apprenticeship Duration: 52 months

Role Overview

• Work under supervision of experienced team leads.
• Gain hands‑on experience installing, maintaining, and repairing plumbing and heating systems.
• Attend day‑release programmes at local colleges for training.
• Undergo safety, inspection, and testing training and certifications.

Responsibilities

• Install and service heating systems.
• Carry out day‑to‑day repairs, including fault finding and troubleshooting.
• Inspect and test installations to meet safety and compliance standards.
• Attend scheduled college training sessions.
• Maintain safety protocols and guidelines.
• Build relationships within the support network, develop confidence.

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate professionally and follow direction.
• Self‑driven, with excellent time‑keeping and attendance.
• GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, grade C or 4 or above.
