Healthcare Assistant (24 hours)

Location: PCS group practices – North Darnall or Heeley Green Surgery.

Responsibilities

• Assist clinicians in the provision and delivery of prescribed programmes of patient care.
• Support a range of clinical services, including phlebotomy, health checks, wound care, vaccinations, and monitoring patients’ health and wellbeing.
• Carry out basic health assessments such as blood pressure, height, weight, and pre‑diabetic checks.
• Process and manage laboratory samples in line with practice procedures.
• Prepare, maintain, and clean clinical rooms, equipment, and treatment areas.
• Manage medical consumable stock levels and support ordering processes.
• Assist with patient care activities, including chaperoning and delegated clinical tasks.
• Promote health and wellbeing awareness and support patient education.
• Identify and elevate clinical or safeguarding concerns appropriately.
• Provide occasional support with home visits where required.
