Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role located in Glasgow City for a Senior Design Engineer. The role involves leading the design and development of medical devices. Additional responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams on product design, ensuring regulatory compliance, and managing technical documentation to support design validation and transfer.
Key Responsibilities
Design and develop components and systems for drug delivery devices
Generate concepts, detailed designs, and engineering documentation
Build and test prototypes, iterating rapidly based on data
Contribute to design verification and validation activities
Support risk management processes (ISO 14971)
Collaborate closely with industrial design, electronics, and usability teams
Engage with suppliers and manufacturing partners
Qualifications
- Experience of Medical Device Development
- Proficiency in Design Engineering xwzovoh and Mechanical Engineering
- Experience with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools
- Expertise in Product Design principles and methodologies
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or a related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for team collaboration and client interaction
