CAD Compliance Engineer (196jc) – Doncaster / North Midlands / Remote – £32 – 40k + Excellent Benefits

We are recruiting on behalf of a well‑established engineering business that supports major infrastructure and defence‑related projects across the UK. We are looking for a meticulous and technically minded CAD Compliance Engineer to join a growing team based in the Doncaster / North Midlands region. This is an excellent opportunity for former Military Engineers or anyone with experience producing or interpreting technical drawings and working within highly regulated environments.

The Role

Working alongside the Design Manager, you will produce and amend CAD drawings while ensuring every design complies with industry standards, customer requirements and quality procedures. You will be an integral part of the design process, helping deliver technical projects across multiple sectors including defence, manufacturing and critical infrastructure, and will undertake occasional site visits to verify installations, undertake surveys and ensure completed work matches approved designs.

Responsibilities

• Produce, update and amend CAD drawings and technical layouts.
• Create accurate engineering drawings ready for manufacture or installation.
• Carry out compliance and quality checks against industry standards and project specifications.
• Maintain drawing revisions and technical documentation.
• Support engineering, installation and project teams throughout project delivery.
• Visit customer sites when required to verify installations and support technical surveys.
• Help maintain the highest levels of technical accuracy and quality.

What They Are Looking For

• Experience using AutoCAD, SolidWorks or similar CAD software.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Experience working within engineering, construction, manufacturing or infrastructure environments.
• Comfortable working to strict procedures and quality standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance.
• Current SC Clearance would be advantageous but is not essential.
• Knowledge of JSP 453 would be beneficial, although full training can be provided.
