Production Manager
Responsible for supporting the Factory Manager in delivering safe, efficient, and sustainable manufacturing operations. Leads multiple teams within a continuous manufacturing environment, promotes a strong safety culture, ensures compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality standards, and drives performance through effective leadership and communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and promote company, factory, and team plans through effective communication, focused on achieving defined objectives.
- Manage and motivate the team through structured development and performance reviews, ensuring delivery of objectives through teamwork.
- Apply the Ibstock Manufacturing system rigorously to drive continuous improvement across all manufacturing areas.
- Implement and adhere to all company and factory control procedures to maintain compliance with statutory health and safety, environmental and quality requirements.
- Collect, assimilate and analyze production and process data, using it to develop and achieve key targets and objectives.
- Develop systems and standards to deliver world‑class housekeeping using 5S principles.
- Procure production materials, goods and services within defined areas of the production environment.
- Maintain effective inter‑departmental liaison to achieve defined objectives.
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- Proven track record in a continuous manufacturing environment at the level advertised or above.
- High degree of self‑motivation and ability to self‑manage in changing business conditions.
- Strong ability to understand, accept and achieve targets and deadlines.
- Demonstrable organisational skills, including efficient planning and implementation of systems and procedures.
- Leadership and people‑management skills, with a capacity to build, motivate, develop and improve the team.
- Demonstrable ability to implement structured problem‑solving techniques.
- Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively across all departments and levels of the business.
