Your goal is to help Currys build, plan and execute the customer and commercial strategy, driving future growth.

You will operate within the New Business squad, playing a pivotal role in educating customers about new and exciting ranges through innovative campaigns and world‑class execution.

This role reports to the Senior GTM Manager and you will be accountable for developing the blueprint for New Business (typically one to three initiatives per year). By combining customer, competitor and financial insights, you will guide the squad to craft a strategy that maximises CSAT and EBIT. • Create the blueprint for the annual category strategy.
  • Define the annual category proposition together with the buyer, planner, services and credit teams – the optimal mix of range, price, availability, services and credit.
  • Partner with channel representatives and brand & marketing to design the right shopping journey across all channels, training and engaging customer‑facing colleagues in the category selling journey.
  • Collaborate with central planning and brand & marketing to develop the “Go to Market” strategy and plan aligned with the annual events calendar.
  • Support the squad in delivering all major initiatives, including new product launches.
  • Champion great customer experiences in all channels.
  • Leverage analytics and insight from the online and customer teams to inform day‑to‑day trading decisions, events and promotions.
  • Coordinate with the Senior E‑commerce Manager to understand category KPI dashboard and reporting metrics.
  • Manage responses to major marketing briefs across the category using appropriate templates.
  • Act as the go‑to person for coordinating customer experience activities across the business.
  • Lead cross‑functional delivery for all customer journey initiatives under the Head of Category.

Qualifications

  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage supplier partnerships.
  • Excellent influencing skills to work with stakeholders at all levels and deliver plans.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.
  • Solid numerical and analytical skills to review data and recommend actions that drive sales, profit and cash flow.
  • Detail‑oriented problem‑solving capabilities.
  • Proficiency in SharePoint, Teams, Excel, Word and PowerPoint, and familiarity with MS Office workflow tools.
  • Customer‑champion mindset with commercial awareness and understanding of customer needs.
  • Degree‑level education or equivalent in a relevant field.
  • Experience in buying or marketing.

Benefits

  • 25 days of annual leave plus bank holiday entitlement.
  • Private medical insurance.
  • Life assurance.
  • Competitive pension scheme.
