About the RoleAs a Modern Slavery Outreach Advocate, you will manage a caseload of individuals who have experienced modern slavery or human trafficking, providing practical, emotional and advocacy support throughout their recovery journey.Working closely with partner agencies, you’ll help clients access accommodation, healthcare, financial support, legal advice and other essential services while ensuring their safety and wellbeing remain at the centre of everything you do.Your responsibilities will include:
Managing a varied caseload of survivors of modern slavery and human traffickingCompleting risk and needs assessments and developing person-centred support plansSupporting clients through the National Referral Mechanism (NRM) processProviding practical and emotional support to promote recovery and independenceWorking in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations to achieve positive outcomesMaintaining accurate case records and meeting contractual performance targetsAdvocating on behalf of clients to ensure they receive the support and services they are entitled toPromoting safeguarding and ensuring appropriate action is taken where risks are identified.About YouWe’re looking for someone who has experience working with vulnerable adults, children or individuals with complex needs and who understands the importance of delivering trauma-informed, person-centred support.You’ll ideally have:
Experience supporting vulnerable people within a needs-led serviceExperience completing risk assessments, support planning and managing complex casesKnowledge of safeguarding adults and childrenExcellent communication, advocacy and relationship-building skillsThe ability to work independently whilst managing competing prioritiesStrong organisational and record-keeping skillsConfidence using Microsoft Office and case management systemsA compassionate, non-judgemental and resilient approach to supporting people experiencing crisis.Knowledge of modern slavery, human trafficking, the National Referral Mechanism (NRM), safeguarding, homelessness or related legislation would be highly advantageous.

Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential.The role involves regular travel across the West Midlands and occasional travel further afield.Some flexibility to work outside normal office hours may be required.Appointment will be subject to an enhanced DBS check and proof of eligibility to work in the UK.
