A Local Authority is looking for a Social Worker for their Assessment and Child Protection service in the Wiltshire area.
You must have a Diploma/Degree in Social Work and have the right to work in the UK (no visa sponsorship available).

- Assess the needs, risks, and wellbeing of children and families.
- Investigate safeguarding concerns, including abuse and neglect.
- Develop, implement, and review child protection and support plans.
- Conduct home visits and maintain regular contact with children and families.
- Work with schools, health services, police, and other agencies to safeguard children.
- Prepare reports and attend child protection conferences, court hearings, and review meetings.
- Maintain accurate case records and ensure compliance with legislation and policies.
- Promote the safety, welfare, and best interests of children at all times.
About you
The successful candidate will have a social work degree with post qualification experience in Children’s Social Work whilst having an up‑to‑date understanding of relevant fostering legislation. This is a growing team with long‑term potential to progress into a senior position and beyond when opportunities arise.
