Reception Teaching Assistant (EYFS) – Chorley

Start Date: September 2026 Contract: Full Academic Year (Fixed Term) Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:45am – 3:15pm Pay: £14.63 per hour (£87.78 per day)

We are currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Chorley, supporting within a Reception (EYFS) class. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about early years education and committed to helping young children thrive in their first year of school.

The Role

As a Reception Teaching Assistant, you will:

• Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and developmentally appropriate EYFS learning activities
• Work with small groups and individual pupils to support learning and development
• Assist in creating a nurturing, safe, and stimulating classroom environment
• Support children with their social, emotional, and communication development
• Help with classroom preparation, organisation, and daily routines

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience within EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage)
• A strong understanding of early child development and learning through play
• A patient, caring, and proactive approach to working with young children
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
