We serve nearly 6,000 private and public sector clients across 70 countries, delivering powerful next-generation IT services and solutions.We are looking for a motivated Application Support Engineer to join our technical team providing application support to a major client.You will work as a front-line technical engineer responsible for resolving software issues, monitoring performance, and performing root cause analysis. n Hybrid — up to 3-4 days on site per week nn Rotating shifts: 7am–3pm / 9:30am–5:30pm nn Potential for out-of-hours on-call supportn Performing early morning health checks to ensure applications are operational before users log in nn Monitoring, diagnosing, and resolving technical issues related to Windows desktop and server-based applications nn Managing incoming support requests, ensuring all issues are troubleshot and prioritised according to SLA nn Assisting in the deployment of software patches, upgrades, and configuration changes across Production and Non-Production environments nn Actively tracking application health using performance management tools, log files, and automated alerts nn Investigating Windows Event Viewer and application logs to identify root causes of errors nn Collaborating with application engineers and liaising with the client regularly nn 2–5 years of experience in application support, systems administration, or IT service desk nn Windows-based application support experiencen Strong proficiency in SQL Server 2016+nn ServiceNow or related ITSM tool knowledge nn Dynatrace or other monitoring tools nn Understanding of cloud platforms and basic programming integrations nn ITIL V4 Foundation Certification nn Microsoft certifications (e.g., n Vendor-specific CRM/ERP certificationsSecurity ClearanceDue to security clearance requirements, candidates must be:n UK National / British passport holder nn 25 days holiday (with options to increase)nn Pension nn Life Insurance nn Health Insurance nn Travel Insurance nn Store vouchers and discounts nn Flexible benefits tailored to youAt DXC Technology, we believe strong connections and community are key to our success.
