Job Description:

Introduction: Destec Engineering Limited is seeking an enthusiastic apprentice to join their engineering team, specialising in the design and manufacture of clamp connectors, subsea pipe connectors, seal rings and boiler inspection caps. You will be trained across engineering, with a focus on manufacturing and maintenance of equipment.

About the Employer

We design and manufacture clamp connectors, subsea pipe connectors, seal rings, and boiler inspection caps. We also provide on‑site machining services, including milling, bolt tensioning, line boring and inspection services. We work across the water, power generation, offshore, and energy sectors.

What You’ll Do

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Inspection and testing and drawings understanding.
  • Working with the team to ensure Non‑destructive testing is completed per requirements and timelines.
  • Basic appreciation and understanding of LPV, MPF, LPF.
  • Basic understanding of NDT equipment and procedures, including calibration and consumable requirements.
  • Operating a variety of machines (CNC or Conventional); for assembling and repairing machine and press tools.

Training Outcome

NDT Level 1, progressing onto NDT Level 2.
