Northgate is a vibrant, multi-cultural primary school situated very close to Crawley town centre. We are a large primary school with 660 children on roll currently including a Specialist Support Centre (SSC) for children who are deaf, and a further 40-place maintained Nursery.

Responsibilities
We are seeking to appoint a Pupil Support Assistant who can work alongside our class teachers to offer support for our children to help meet their specific learning needs. Part of the role will include 1:1 work with children who have complex special educational needs.
Working hours are term time only; the role also includes lunchtime supervision responsibilities.
All PSAs are paid 15 minutes extra each week to incorporate an hour’s CPD/training after school each month.
Qualifications
- Competent in English and mathematics
- Interest and/or experience in supporting children with Autistic Spectrum Condition or children with trauma and attachment difficulties is a significant advantage
- Experience or knowledge of trauma‑informed practice
