The role is based at the Bright Horizons Beaufort Day Nursery located at NW9, Colindale, London, and involves working Mon‑Fri from 9am‑2pm on a permanent basis.

Salary: £18,395 per annum (dependent on qualifications and experience).

The Role

SEN Documentation & Support Plans – Maintain and update SEN documentation, ensuring a strong understanding of support plans and the processes involved in finalising EHCPs to the required standard.

SEN Meetings – Attend and contribute to SEN meetings, working collaboratively with staff, families, and external professionals to fully support each child’s needs.

Additional Ratio Support – Provide extra staffing support in rooms where additional adult presence is required to meet the needs of children with SEN.

Resources & Visuals – Create, update, and replenish SEN resources and visual aids, ensuring they are accessible, relevant, and consistently up to date.

Cross‑Room Support – Although the main focus is on children aged 3‑5, support may be required across all age groups depending on individual needs.

Lunch Cover – Assist with lunch cover across the nursery when needed, supporting children of all ages.

What we’re looking for

  • Previous experience working with SEN children in a nursery setting or a similar educational role.
  • Passion for making learning fun and engaging for each child.
  • Ability to develop trust and strong working partnerships with both colleagues and parents.
  • Ability to use a variety of communication techniques with both children and adults.
