We are looking for an energetic, collaborative, and ambitious Construction &Built Environment Teacher to join our team in Barnstaple.

Responsibilities

• Design engaging, coherent lesson plans and digital resources that bring construction theory to life.
• Manage both physical and online classrooms efficiently, ensuring safety, updating resources, and maintaining high interactivity.
• Set assessments, provide feedback, and track learner progress to keep everyone on the right track.
• Act as a Programme Manager when needed, offering academic and pastoral support to maintain high retention and student engagement.
• Integrate critical life skills such as English, Maths, and British Values seamlessly into practical lessons.
• Make independent operational decisions and recognise when escalations are required.
• Adapt teaching style to handle complex, sensitive enquiries with diverse stakeholders.
• Navigate IT systems, databases, and Microsoft Office to track learner data accurately.

Qualifications

• Educated to at least Level 2 (including English and Maths).
• Subject related qualification at a minimum of degree or equivalent.

Desirable Experience

• Working in Further Education or a public-facing role with duty-of-care responsibilities.
• Experience working with safeguarding or facilities teams during incidents.
