Job Overview
This is an excellent opportunity to move away from a workshop-based role and receive full training in CAD, draughting and technical design within a specialist bespoke joinery and woodworking manufacturer. You will be joining a small, family-run business where you will work closely with senior staff and directors from day one, gaining hands-on training, long-term development and clear progression as the company continues to grow.
Responsibilities
- Learn to produce CAD drawings for bespoke joinery and woodworking projects.
- Read and interpret technical drawings, sketches and client requirements.
- Support the production of shop drawings, cutting lists and material schedules.
- Work closely with senior CAD technicians, workshop teams and management.
- Complete full training to become a CAD Technician / Draughtsperson.
Qualifications
- Background in joinery, woodworking or a related field.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Interest in moving into CAD, design or draughting.
- Willingness to step off the tools into an office-based technical role.
- Keenness to learn, develop and progress long-term.
Salary and Benefits
Starting salary £35,000 – £45,000, with annual salary increases.
Full CAD training and ongoing development, with progression into a fully trained CAD Technician / Draughtsperson and opportunities for senior/management roles.
Work schedule: Monday-Thursday 7:30 am-4:30 pm; Friday 7:30 am-3:00 pm.
On-site parking and a 3 pm finish each Friday.
