This is a fabulous opportunity for a Classroom Support Assistant that enjoys working on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis with children with additional needs. A highly respected specialist school is looking for a Specialist CSA for a full time role (term time only) to start September. This is a temporary to permanent position. You will complete the first 12 weeks via our agency and once your probation is completed at 12 weeks you will transition to a permanent member of the school team.

Applicants for this role need to be nurturing, patient, and committed to making learning accessible to secondary aged learners with severe and complex learning difficulties. This school offers exceptional training courses completely free of charge with time in your working day to complete all necessary aspects allowing you to develop your career to HLTA or qualified status.

In this role you would support in the delivery of a creative, relevant and practical curriculum that meets the needs of each child’s individual needs.

Hours: Monday: Friday 08:30‑4:15pm / Term time only.

Requirements

  • Teaching Assistant qualification (desirable but not essential)
  • Relevant teaching assistant and SEN experience (desirable)
  • GCSE Maths and English or equivalent
  • Eligibility to work in the UK

Responsibilities

  • Supporting learners on a 1:1, small group and whole class basis

  • Working with the teacher to support the learning objectives
