Location: Glastonbury, Somerset (home and/or community-based tuition)

Age range: Primary-aged children

Subjects: General primary tuition

Delivery: In-person only (not online)

Pay: Competitive hourly rate, dependent on experience

Quantum Scholars is looking for caring, reliable and experienced Primary Tutors to support primary-aged children in and around Glastonbury, Somerset. The role involves in-person tuition sessions at the child’s home or a suitable community setting. Applicants must be able to travel within the area and cannot work online.

Role Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 in-person tuition for primary-aged children in and around Glastonbury
• Support children across core primary learning areas, including English and Maths
• Travel to children’s homes and/or suitable community settings
• Plan and deliver personalised learning activities
• Use creative, practical and interest-led approaches to support engagement
• Support confidence, communication, routine and positive learning habits
• Adapt sessions to suit each child’s needs, ability and emotional readiness
• Support children who may have SEND, SEMH needs, anxiety, EBSA, or gaps in education
• Work professionally with parents/carers and relevant professionals
• Keep brief records of session content, attendance, engagement and progress

Essential Requirements

• Experience working with primary-aged children
• Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
• Patient, nurturing and flexible approach
• Ability to plan engaging, personalised learning sessions
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• Clear commitment to safeguarding and supporting positive outcomes for children
• Ability to travel to in-person tuition sessions in and around Glastonbury
• The legal right to work in the UK (Applicants must have, or be willing to obtain, an enhanced DBS certificate and be able to provide suitable references)
• Preferred: Qualified Teacher Status
• Availability for in-person tuition in Glastonbury and surrounding areas
