Trust Housing Association is excited to offer an opportunity for a Care at Home Worker within our Glen Iosal Housing Development in Tobermory, Isle of Mull, Argyll and Bute. The role is suitable for candidates who reside in or around Tobermory and the island of Mull.

Responsibilities
- Work on a rota basis, operating between 7 am and 10 pm, seven days a week
- Drop in on older and vulnerable adult tenants throughout the day
- Provide support with daily living tasks and assistance around the home
- Deliver care needs as outlined in individual care plans
- Administer medication, offer personal support and care, perform housework tasks, and assist with meals
- Build trusting relationships with residents and provide care in the way they prefer
Qualifications
- Previous experience in the care sector preferred but not essential
- Training and support provided to develop skills and career progression
- Passion, empathy and dedication to improving residents’ lives
- Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal
- Basic IT skills
- Subject to satisfactory interview, references and PVG check
- Will be required to register with the SSSC, complete mandatory training, and commit to studying for an SVQ in Care & Support if not already held
Ideal Candidate
- Has experience in the care sector, especially with older people or other vulnerable community members
- Holds an SVQ in Health and Social Care or a relevant qualification; SSSC registration will involve progressing towards an SVQ if not yet held
- Demonstrates good written and verbal communication skills
- Possesses basic IT skills
