Salary: Up to £90,000 + Package
We are currently working with a well‑established, design‑led façade and cladding specialist delivering projects across new build, reclad and refurbishment sectors. With a strong reputation for technical expertise, quality and risk management — particularly across high‑risk building envelope systems — they are now seeking a Head of Estimating to lead and develop their pre‑construction function.
This is a key strategic role within a collaborative, values‑driven business with a growing pipeline of secured work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the estimating team
- Oversee tender strategy from initial enquiry through to submission
- Review and challenge cost plans, risk allowances and value‑engineering opportunities
- Liaise with clients, main contractors and supply chain partners
- Support early contractor engagement and design development
- Drive continuous improvement across estimating processes and systems
- Play a central role in work‑winning and wider business growth strategy
Requirements:
- Proven experience in façades or cladding estimating (essential)
- Strong technical knowledge across rainscreen, SFS, glazing, render or similar systems
- Previous experience leading or mentoring estimators
- Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines
- Commercially astute with strong negotiation and analytical skills
- Comfortable working in a collaborative, design‑led environment
