Job Overview
We are seeking a Student Services Officer to work 35 hours per week (8:00am – 3:30pm) during term time. The successful candidate will be a key member of Shoreham Academy’s first‑aid team and will support students’ welfare through a range of student services functions.
Responsibilities
- Provide first‑aid and medical/welfare support to students, ensuring all medical needs are met.
- Work closely with the Student Services Manager, the visiting medical nurse, and child protection and pastoral teams.
- Support students’ health and learning outcomes by delivering timely and appropriate care.
- Assist in the management of student welfare within the academy’s student services and admin team.
Qualifications
- Relevant first‑aid experience; certified training will be provided if required.
- Strong emotional intelligence, sensitivity, and a confident, positive personality when engaging with young people.
- Ability to work autonomously within a team and to collaborate effectively across multiple departments.
- Commitment to maintaining professional standards and ensuring the well‑being of all students.
