Job Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a number of full or part‑time appointments as SECAmb’s Community Resilience Leads, covering up to two Operating Units (depending on working hours) to be agreed with the post‑holder. The portfolio includes Community First Responders, Chaplains, our four Retirement Associations, Community Guardians and Public Access Defibrillators (PAD). Reporting to the Head of Operations (Community Resilience) and managing the volunteers, you’ll be immersed in all areas of work in this fast‑paced and focused department.
Successful appointees will work either part time, with responsibility for one Operating Unit, or full time with responsibility for two Operating Units. Currently posts are available across Kent, Surrey and Sussex.
Main duties of the job
You’ll need a strong understanding of volunteer management, an awareness of the distinction between volunteers and employees, and experience of working with volunteers. You will be able to successfully juggle competing priorities. A sound background and qualification in education would be a strong advantage. During your tenure you’ll have the opportunity to work closely with our volunteers coordinating tasks, delivering the new Future Qual Level 3 education programme and supporting teams of Community First Responders across the Trust to enhance the volunteering experience within the Trust. You will need a flexible approach to meet the needs and demands of volunteers, on occasions working evenings and weekends.

Salary range for this position is in line with the Agenda for Change pay scales. All successful applicants will be placed automatically at the bottom of the band unless proven, relevant NHS or equivalent experience can be demonstrated.

All patient‑facing positions require the new SARS‑CoV‑2 (COVID‑19) vaccination unless medically exempt. If you are successful in a front‑line role we will seek information about your vaccine status, including exemption status, as applicable.
