Pay: £14.24 – £17.00 per hour
About the Role
We are recruiting for Pupil Support & Behaviour Mentor / SEN & SEMH Education Support Assistants to work in supportive school environments, helping children and young people with additional needs to access learning and reach their potential. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone looking to start or progress a career in education, with genuine pathways from supply work into long-term or permanent school placements.
You will be supporting learners with:
- SEN (Special Educational Needs)
- SEMH (Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs)
- Behavioural, emotional and learning challenges
What you will be doing
- Supporting pupils on a 1:1 and small group basis
- Assisting with learning activities in and out of the classroom
- Supporting behaviour regulation and positive engagement
- Helping pupils build confidence, resilience and independence
- Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and pastoral teams
- Providing consistent, calm and supportive guidance
Working Pattern
- School hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm
- Early finish on Fridays
- Monday to Friday only
- Weekends and bank holidays off
- Term-time only roles
- Supply-based work with potential for long-term or permanent placement
